Weighted Blankets
Need a hug? This is it in a blanket. This is not the cheap weighted blanket you can just go out and buy, but a quality blanket for therapeutic use. I sleep with one for insomnia, my son sleeps with one for ADHD/SPD.
My weighted blankets are made with 100% cotton and lined with muslin. The internal weights are plastic pellets from Victory Pellets. Blankets can be both washed and dried by machine. I guarantee my blankets for life so if there is a construction problem, I will fix it.
What size do you need? It needs to be big enough to cover you. How much should it weigh? So here is a very basic formula: 10% of the (ideal) body weight plus or minus 1-2 lbs. For example, I’m 5’2” and I sleep with an 11 pound blanket.
